AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in New York, NY

  • Oversee program-related activities managing concurrent construction projects at an active healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY in support of the overall Program Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery across all project phases and stakeholder groups.
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices throughout all project operations and construction activities.
  • Support innovation in program and construction management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation and operational excellence.
  • Identify areas of high risk and proactively implement mitigation strategies to positively impact program outcomes and project success.
  • Possess extensive experience leading New York commercial and/or healthcare building projects through every phase of the project lifecycle, from initial planning, programming, and design development through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final project closeout.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including coordination with multiple stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Manage complex construction projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar value, thereby increasing the potential for larger change orders and consequences of error.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts while ensuring adherence to approved timelines and cost parameters.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including direct reports and cross-functional staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable New York State and local building codes, regulations, and healthcare facility standards throughout project execution.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews, inspections, and testing to verify that all work meets contractual specifications and industry standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contractor performance, and procurement activities to optimize project delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, performance metrics, and executive summaries to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Relocation is not available for this position.
