California privacy rights

Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Who this applies to

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). You can exercise these rights free of charge, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Your rights

  • Right to know. You can ask what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and any third parties we have shared it with in the past 12 months.
  • Right to delete. You can ask us to delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions the law allows (for example, to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect fraud).
  • Right to correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You are opted out by default. If that ever changes, we will post a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We collect only the sensitive personal information we need to provide the service (for example, a log-in credential to apply on your behalf). We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
  • Right to data portability. You can get your personal information in a readily usable format (JSON). The “Export my data” button in settings does this in one click.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or give you a different level of service because you exercised a CPRA right.
  • Right to opt out of automated decision-making. Jobeezy’s fit-scoring is an automated process. No application is submitted below a fit score of 60, and you can review or override any application before it’s sent. You can ask for information about the logic involved.
  • Authorized agent. You can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will ask for written permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Categories of personal information we collect

  • Identifiers (email address, account ID)
  • Commercial information (subscription plan, billing history)
  • Professional or employment information you choose to provide (resume content, work history, fair-chance disclosures)
  • Internet or network activity (device and crash telemetry, app usage events)
  • Geolocation limited to the city level, for job matching

We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, or information about minors under 16.

Sale and sharing

Jobeezy does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the 12 months before this notice.

How to submit a request

Email privacy@jobeezy.com with the subject line “CCPA Request.” Tell us which right you want to exercise. We will verify your identity using the email on file and respond within 45 days. If we need an extension, we will tell you within that first 45-day window.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision email. An employee not involved in the original decision will review the appeal and respond within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or California Attorney General.
