Delete your Jobeezy account

You can delete your Jobeezy account and the personal information tied to it at any time — in the app or here on the web — and you do not need the app installed to do it. Please read the note about your subscription first.
Last updated: July 9, 2026 · Effective: July 9, 2026.

  • Google Play (Android): open the Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Jobeezy Plus → Cancel. (In the app, tap Manage subscription to jump straight there.)
  • Apple (iPhone/iPad): open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Jobeezy Plus → Cancel, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Your subscription is separate from your account; see our Subscription Terms.

1. How to delete your account

You can delete your Jobeezy account and the personal information tied to it at any time. There are three ways to do it. Deleting your account removes everything — see What we delete and What we keep, and why.

1.1 In the Jobeezy app (Android)

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Type the word DELETE to turn on the confirm button, then confirm.

If you use a fingerprint or face unlock on your device, you’ll pass that check too. (When iOS launches, the same in-app path will be available there.)

1.2 In the web app (app.jobeezy.com)

  1. Sign in at app.jobeezy.com.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
  3. Type the word DELETE to confirm.

1.3 By email (if you can’t get into your account)

Write to privacy@jobeezy.com with DELETE in the subject line, from the email address on your account. Before we act, we confirm that you control that email address — this protects you, so that someone else can’t delete your account. We aim to confirm within a reasonable time and, at the latest, within the timeframes described in Your privacy rights.

1.4 How we check it’s really you

Typing DELETE, being signed in as the account owner, and (on mobile, if you have it set up) your device fingerprint or face unlock are the safeguards for an in-app request. For an email request, we verify that you control the account email before we delete anything. We do this because many of the people we serve are more exposed to someone trying to lock them out or delete their account — verification keeps you in control.

2. What we delete

When your account is deleted, we remove your personal information from our active systems — MongoDB Atlas (our database), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), and Clerk (our sign-in provider) — and from our analytics tools. This includes:

  • your account and sign-in (deleted immediately);
  • your profile — name, email, phone, address, job preferences, work-authorization and availability details;
  • your résumé, tailored résumés, cover letters, and other documents;
  • any fair-chance / background information you chose to add — things like employment gaps, program completions, or record-related details you entered;
  • your applications, application outcomes, saved jobs, and job-search history;
  • your interview-prep, salary and negotiation, and recommendation data;
  • your EEO / diversity self-identification (kept separately and deleted immediately — see below);
  • your Auto-Apply run records — including the screenshots and session recordings our Auto-Apply helper captured of employer forms to prove your application was submitted;
  • your push-notification tokens and referral records.

We also tell our other service providers to delete or de-identify your data — including Clerk (sign-in), Cloudflare R2 (files), PostHog and Sentry (analytics and error tools), and RevenueCat (subscription status — your active entitlement is switched off). Résumé and profile text we sent to our AI providers (OpenRouter as our main provider and Anthropic as a fallback) is processed under no-training terms and with zero data retention where the provider supports it — it is never used to train their models. You can see the full list on our Sub-processors page.

3. What we keep, and why

“Delete” means we remove your personal information from our active systems. A few limited records are kept where the law allows or requires it, or to run the deletion itself. We keep only what we need, for only as long as we need it, and we never use a retained record to rebuild your account.

  • Encrypted backups. Residual copies can stay in our encrypted backups until they age out on our normal backup rotation. Backups are overwritten in the ordinary course, and data that is no longer in our active systems is purged from backups as they cycle. We do not use backups to bring your account back.
  • A record that the deletion happened. We keep a small deletion-audit record (your user ID and the date) so we can prove your request was carried out.
  • Do-not-contact records. We keep a minimal suppression record so we can honor “stop emailing me” and not message you again.
  • Marketing / waitlist email. If you gave us your email for a waitlist or marketing list, that entry may be held separately from your account; you can ask us to remove it at privacy@jobeezy.com.
  • Subscription and tax records held by the app stores. Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat keep purchase and tax records under their own retention rules. Jobeezy holds no payment-card data of its own, and we can’t delete the stores’ records.
  • Records we need for legal, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons, for as long as the law requires or allows.

4. Applications you’ve already sent

  • Already submitted: once we submit an application to an employer, it lives in that employer’s hiring system, and neither we nor you can pull it back through Jobeezy. Employers keep it under their own privacy policies and applicable employment laws. To ask an employer to remove an application they already received, contact the employer directly.
  • Queued but not yet sent: if an application is still queued and hasn’t been sent, deleting your account cancels it, and it is not submitted.

5. Deletion timeline

Here is what happens, and when:

  • Right away. As soon as you confirm, we immediately delete your sign-in, your EEO / diversity answers, and your saved jobs, and we lock your account — your data is no longer available in the app or web app.
  • Over the next 30 days. An automated daily process finishes removing the rest of your personal information from our active systems. A checking step runs a day after each removal to confirm nothing was missed.
  • Afterward. Residual copies in our encrypted backups age out later on their normal rotation, and are overwritten in the ordinary course. We don’t use them to rebuild your account.

Because backups and a few lawfully retained records exist (see What we keep, and why), we don’t claim your data is erased everywhere the instant you ask. We do commit to removing it from our active systems within 30 days of a verified request.

6. Get a copy of your data first

Want a copy of your data before you delete? In the app or web app, go to Settings → Export my data, or email privacy@jobeezy.com with the subject DATA EXPORT from your account email.

We build a file with your profile, applications, saved jobs, job-search history, and application outcomes and email it to you as a ZIP attachment — a .json file plus a short README. There is no download link to click and nothing that expires; the file arrives in your inbox. We aim to send it quickly and, at the latest, within 30 days.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. In general you can ask to access a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable format, object to certain uses, and restrict certain processing.

We respond to rights requests within 45 days, and we’ll acknowledge your request within 10 business days. If your request is complex, we may take up to another 45 days and will tell you why. You can make a request without being charged, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

7.1 Europe, the UK, and the EEA (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You have the rights above, plus the right to withdraw consent and the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority. Our use of automated tools, and your rights around them, are explained in the How we use AI and automated decisions section of our AI transparency notice and the Automated decision-making section of our Privacy Policy. If and where we are required to designate an EU or UK representative, or a Data Protection Officer, we will do so and publish their contact details.

7.2 California (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to non-discrimination for using your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out. We do not use advertising trackers or ad pixels, and your device advertising ID is blocked, so we never use your data for ad targeting. You may use an authorized agent to make a request. If we deny a request, you can appeal — see the Appeals section of our California Privacy Notice.

7.3 Texas and other U.S. states

If you live in Texas (under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act) or another U.S. state with a privacy law, you have similar rights — to access, correct, delete, and get a copy of your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and how to use these rights.

7.4 Other regions

If you are in Brazil (LGPD), Switzerland (FADP), or another region with a privacy law, you have similar rights, including the right to complain to your local authority. Our Privacy Policy explains the regional details and how to reach us.

8. Changing your mind

Deleting your account is final. Because we remove your sign-in right away, you can’t “log back in” to undo it. There is no self-service way to reactivate a deleted account. If you’re not sure, use Export my data first (see above), or contact hello@jobeezy.com before you confirm.

9. Deletion confirmation

When your deletion is complete, we email you a confirmation. After that, we suppress that email address so you won’t hear from us again.

10. Special situations

Someone who has died. To request deletion of a deceased person’s account, email privacy@jobeezy.com with documentation, and we’ll guide you. Parents and guardians. Jobeezy is not for children — you must be at least 16 to create an account, and at least 18 (or the local age of majority) to use Auto-Apply or buy Jobeezy Plus; if you believe a child under 16 has an account, contact us and we’ll remove it. Authorized agents. In California and some other states, you may use an authorized agent to submit a deletion request on your behalf; we may still ask to confirm your identity and the agent’s authority.

12. Frequently asked questions

Does deleting my account cancel Jobeezy Plus?

No. Jobeezy Plus is billed by Apple or Google Play, not by Jobeezy, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play first (see the note at the top of this page), or you may keep being charged.

Can I recover my account after I delete it?

No. Deleting your account is final. We remove your sign-in right away, so you can’t log back in to undo it. If you’re not sure, export your data first or contact hello@jobeezy.com before you confirm.

What happens to applications already sent to employers?

Once we submit an application to an employer, it lives in that employer’s hiring system, and neither we nor you can pull it back through Jobeezy. Employers keep it under their own privacy policies and applicable employment laws. To ask an employer to remove it, contact the employer directly.

Will deleting my account stop all emails?

Yes. Once your account is deleted, you’ll no longer receive transactional or marketing emails from Jobeezy. We keep a small do-not-contact record so we can honor that and not message you again.

How long does account deletion take?

As soon as you confirm, we immediately delete your sign-in, your EEO / diversity answers, and your saved jobs, and we lock your account. Over the next 30 days an automated daily process removes the rest of your personal information from our active systems, with a checking step a day later. Residual copies in encrypted backups age out afterward on their normal rotation.

Can I delete just some of my data but keep my account?

Yes. Account deletion removes everything. To remove only specific items, such as your résumé, email privacy@jobeezy.com from your account email and we’ll honor a targeted deletion request.
