Full job description
We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our growing team and help support our sales and project management departments.
The Estimator will assist in preparing project estimates, reviewing construction plans and specifications, coordinating with vendors and manufacturers, and supporting the sales team with accurate pricing for commercial overhead door and loading dock projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction, estimating, or building products industry.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and identify project requirements.
- Prepare material and labor cost estimates for commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, and related products.
- Request pricing from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Assist in developing bid proposals and quotations.
- Maintain estimating databases and pricing records.
- Communicate with project managers, sales representatives, contractors, and vendors.
- Support project handoff after award to ensure a smooth transition to operations.
- Learn industry products, codes, and installation requirements.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent construction-related experience.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings (preferred but willing to train the right candidate).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Construction, estimating, engineering, or building materials experience is a plus but not required.

This position works across office, warehouse, fleet, and active job sites. Exposure to outdoor conditions, construction environments, and moving equipment is expected.
