About the Role
Responsible for managing and leading middle market banking activity and production in an assigned market, overseeing a portfolio of approx. $500-800MM and serving clients with $15+MM of annual revenue. Manages a team of Middle Market Relationship Managers to meet strategic objectives, production goals, and client needs. Develops and executes upon market strategy aligned with Bank's strategic goals and is the face of the bank for the market. May personally produce and build partnerships (internal and external) to attract business relationships while supporting a production team.
- Manages a team of Relationship Managers to meet strategic objectives, production goals, and client needs.
- Responsible for the P&L of an assigned market and management of an assigned portfolio, establishing production goals and strategies to succeed.
- Maintains and grows a quality Middle Market Banking portfolio by leading prudent risk and portfolio management.
- Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the community to increase business development opportunities for all Middle Market Relationship Managers. Actively participates in community/market events through organizations and board memberships to function as the "face" of the bank in the respective market.
- Develops and implements cross-selling strategies with Bank partners to maximize revenue growth and relationship depth.
- Grants credit approvals within delegated authorities as applicable. Achieves satisfactory credit exams. Responsible for credit risk management within the market.
- Identifies hires, manages, motivates, and retains top talent. Responsible for the professional development of associates within the assigned market.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
- 4-7 years — Prior experience in middle market, commercial, or corporate lending. (Required)
- 4-7 years — prior management experience leading a production team and effectively handling employee and customer relations issues. (Preferred)
- Experience developing and implementing a market strategy to achieve results/goals.
- Excellent relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, sales skills, and credit acumen.
- Experience directing and leading the activities of a team having overall responsibility for strategic planning, goal setting, budget and performance management.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with executive levels. Interactions may include controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading.
- Experience managing and developing others and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Demonstrates a commitment to attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent.
- Proven track record of success in developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing and networking.
- Ability to communicate effectively with small and large audiences; often includes presentations to customers at a high level (i.e. CFO, CEO, and other Executive levels).
- Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to change course (adaptable) at a moment’s notice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Possesses strong computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite with the ability to learn new business software, as needed.
- Frequent Travel Requirements
The pay range for this role is $166,000.00 to $295,000.00.
