Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Meridian, ID.
The Commercial Lines Account Manager delivers exceptional client service while managing and supporting a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams—handling policy servicing, account management, and supporting new business and renewal activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing high-volume service needs with strategic account support, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
How You Will Contribute:
Client Service & Account Management
- Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, providing timely, professional, and high-quality service.
- Manage inbound and outbound phone call service requests.
- Manage day-to-day service requests including policy changes, endorsements, certificates, ID cards, and coverage questions.
- Support clients with billing questions, payment processing, and premium collection.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and long-term partnerships.
- Assist clients with navigation of online portals and self-service options via the carrier.
Policy Administration & Documentation
- Prepare, review, and process insurance documents including:
- Certificates of insurance
- Binders and endorsements
- Renewal accords/supplementals and proposals
- Maintain accurate client records in agency management systems, including updates, file documentation, and tracking open items.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and carrier requirements.
- Coordinate services between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Collect and analyze client exposure data and assist in identifying coverage gaps.
- Verify invoicing accuracy and assist with premium finance agreements and accounting-related items.
- Manage mid-term policy changes and assist with renewal strategy and stewardship reviews.
- Identify opportunities for additional coverage to mitigate uninsured or underinsured exposures.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Required
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
- 3+ years of commercial lines account management
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
- Ability to service within modern tech-centric agency management systems
Preferred
- Equivalent work experience or equivalent college degree
- Experience in commercial insurance markets and carrier relationships
- Experience supporting marketing, renewals, or new business placement
