We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Full or part-time considered.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for patient procedures.
  • Ability to perform digital impressions
  • Proficient in placing multi surface restorations
  • Ability to create temporary crowns and bridges
  • Experience with a CEREC is preferred but not mandatory
  • Perform medical documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging techniques.
  • Record vital signs and update patient medical histories as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, anatomy, and vital signs is essential.
  • Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in a dental assisting role is advantageous but not required; we welcome entry-level candidates willing to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 5 PM
