The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on facilities, electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role involves more complex inspections and repairs, as well as guiding junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Carry out detailed inspections to identify and address potential issues before they cause breakdowns.
- Provide guidance and support to junior maintenance technicians.
- Keep comprehensive records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Work with vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience with safe use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certification in a relevant technical field (e.g., HVAC, electrical).
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work on-site.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift.
- Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in potentially hazardous or loud environments.
- Ability to travel as required.
