Job Overview:

Job Summary**

The Lead Technician QHSE will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Primoris Services Corporation's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. This role involves conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and providing training to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across various project sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement in QHSE performance.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of QHSE policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide QHSE training and awareness programs to employees, including new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized safety training.
  • Monitor and track QHSE performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal QHSE regulations, as well as company standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate QHSE requirements into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain accurate and organized QHSE documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and incident reports.
  • Assist with the selection, calibration, and maintenance of QHSE equipment.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for other QHSE team members and site personnel.

Job Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within the construction, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Recognized safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP, CHST, ASP) are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local QHSE regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to train and influence personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel frequently to various project sites.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
