Login/Client Support Specialist

This position serves as a support roll for the laboratory. This role ensures efficient and accurate running of a fast-paced laboratory. Responsible for greeting clients, vendors and visitors to the laboratory and answering general questions. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm. Must live a commutable distance to Ayer MA. This is a full time benefit eligible position. Compensation is $20/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Collect samples from on-site drop box
• Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
• Organize and record samples
• Data entry into LIMS (TALS experience a PLUS)
• Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
• Assist with customer services
• Handle interactions with walk-in clients
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Process daily mail and small shipments of bottle kits.
• Provide great customer Service to walk in clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, further education in biological or chemical science preferred
• Experience in a fast pace work environment
• Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred.
• TALS experience a plus

Ability and Skills

• Strong computer, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
• Handle moderate stress in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented- Data Entry
• Ability to prioritize
• Customer Service
• Science based background preferred
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned
