Responsible AI
How our AI makes decisions about your job search
Jobeezy uses AI to read jobs, score fit, and prepare applications. Because those systems touch people's livelihoods, we hold them to rules most job platforms don't publish. Here they are.
The rules our AI operates under
- You approve every application. The AI proposes; you decide. No application is submitted without your explicit, per-job consent inside the app. There is no fully autonomous mass-apply mode.
- Demographic data never reaches the models. Voluntary self-identification answers (race, gender, veteran status, disability) are stored in an isolated collection that is architecturally separate from matching and scoring. The models cannot see it.
- Your résumé never trains anyone's model. Our AI providers operate under zero-retention agreements. Your career history is processed to serve you, then it's gone from their systems.
- Scores are explainable. Every fit score breaks down into the factors behind it — role match, skills, location, experience, and semantic fit — and the app shows you that breakdown, not just a number.
- A floor, not a firehose. We don't apply to roles scoring below our fit threshold, because spraying weak applications hurts your name with employers. The AI is tuned to protect your reputation, not inflate our numbers.
- Honest failure states. When an automated application can't complete, we tell you and hand you a direct link to finish it yourself — we never silently drop it or fake a success.
What the AI is used for
- Parsing your résumé into a structured profile (which you review and can correct).
- Scoring how well a job fits you — never scoring you as a person.
- Detecting ghost postings that show no real hiring activity.
- Tailoring your résumé and cover letter to a specific role, shown to you before anything is sent.
- Interview practice and salary-negotiation coaching, on request.
What it is never used for
- Inferring protected characteristics, or using them in any ranking.
- Selling insights about you to employers, recruiters, or anyone else.
- Making a final hiring decision — employers do that, with humans.
Accountability
If you believe an AI-driven decision in Jobeezy treated you unfairly — a score that makes no sense, a filter that seems wrong — email hello@jobeezy.com and a human will review it. For the data side of this story, see the Privacy Policy and Security pages.
