GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Trust Administrator serves as an administrative support professional for Advisor Solutions, to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth by adhering to fiduciary policies and procedures. Serves as the primary interface with trust accounting systems and operations, and implements internal policies and procedures effectively.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Service:

  • Frequent direct communication with client.
  • Support advisors in executing and implementing decision-making aspects of trust administration.
  • Support the administration of multigenerational trusts, often with discretionary income and principal payments distributed among multiple family members.
  • Support the Trust Advisor in the execution of the terms of trust documents.
  • Partner with advisors to retain client base by partnering with internal and external service providers to optimize effectiveness and efficiency in achieving the highest client service standards.
  • Partner with advisors to set client expectations.
  • Partner with advisors on client meeting materials.
  • Assist with client relationship management tools.

Account Administration:

  • Support advisors to ensure compliance and proper documentation requirements are met, consistent with internal fiduciary policies and procedures regarding business and asset acceptances, discretionary actions, and all other bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work closely with advisors and Trust Tax Team to ensure proper tax reporting is complete.
  • Review daily trust activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years fiduciary client service/sales experience preferred.
  • CTFA or other professional designation, obtained or working toward, preferred.
  • Significant experience and expertise within Trust.
  • Knowledge of trust administration, estate planning strategies, and income and estate tax matters.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a team orientated/matrix environment.
  • Strong computer/technical skills required: Ability to use all Microsoft Office software, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CoPilot.
