The Position: All teachers at CRB will be assigned courses in their subject area(s) of expertise and are expected to work alongside other teachers in their subject area as well as administrators. There will be additional duties such as Study Hall, Office Hours, Lunch Duty, and Hall Duty, for example. They will not be assigned more than 6 out of 8 periods per day plus lunch.

The Science teacher will be assigned three sections of 10th grade Pre-AP Chemistry and one section of Earth Science, based on the discretion of the Principal.

In general, the job begins in August and ends in June with possible opportunities for summer employment for an additional stipend.

In 2026, the first day of the school year for faculty is August 31, 2026, which is the start of Staff Orientation.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s Degree in a Science discipline or Secondary (7-12) Science Education is required.

● Master’s Degree or higher in subject area or Secondary Ed is preferred but not required.

● Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly preferred.

● Must be able to use technology to further student learning (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom, PowerSchool).

● Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Jesuit schools, NativityMiguel schools, other Independent / Catholic schools, Teach for America, or Alliance for Catholic Education is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range starts at $60,000 and is negotiable based on education, licenses, and work experience. The exact amount will be commensurate with experience and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools. Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.

Scholarships to pursue graduate degrees at local Catholic colleges and universities may be available.
