Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment Support, Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect accurate and consistent data on client behavior and progress during each session
  • Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to support skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals
  • Assist clients in developing communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills
  • Maintain detailed session notes and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support client outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Requirements

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities
  • Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed behavioral protocols and respond calmly in challenging situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, families, and team members
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet any state or agency compliance requirements
