Senior Experience Designer – Banner at EVERSANA — Chicago, IL
Full job description
WHAT DOES A SENIOR EXPERIENCE DESIGNER - BANNER DO?
The Senior Experience Designer – Banner is a seasoned, hands-on individual contributor operating at the intersection of design, technology, and brand within our HTML media banner practice. This role exists to transform creative vision into high-quality, production-ready digital experiences that balance brand expression, motion, and media performance.
Senior Experience Designers are trusted practitioners who operate with a high degree of autonomy, applying sound judgment and deep expertise to navigate complexity, solve execution challenges, and consistently deliver work that meets both creative intent and technical standards. They contribute strategically to execution while remaining deeply engaged in the craft—leading through expertise, influencing design direction, and ensuring quality from concept through delivery.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of HTML media banner production, motion design, modular thinking, and the technical constraints of digital advertising. Senior Experience Designers collaborate closely with Art, Copy, Development, and fellow Experience Designers to create scalable, brand-aware solutions that are both creatively compelling and technically sound.
Our employees deliver exceptional business results through the strength of their expertise, execution, and cross-functional partnerships. For Senior Experience Designers, these results are achieved by:
- Executing Work Independently: Owning projects from concept through delivery as a trusted individual contributor—working independently or alongside other practitioners based on project scope and complexity.
- Operating with Minimal Oversight: Exercising sound judgment, maintaining momentum, and ensuring alignment to creative, technical, and production standards with minimal direction.
- Designing Within Real-World Constraints: Applying expertise in HTML media banner production, media specifications, animation best practices, and responsive resizing behaviors to create scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Partnering with Art, Copy, Development, and fellow Experience Designers to ensure solutions are creatively aligned, technically feasible, and ready for implementation.
- Applying Design Judgment: Evaluating tradeoffs, resolving design challenges, incorporating feedback, and making informed execution decisions that balance creative intent, technical feasibility, and production quality.
- Mentoring Through Practice: Elevating fellow Experience Designers through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.
