Full job description
- Manage a caseload of participants and provide individualized career counseling, coaching, mentoring, and employment support services.
- Assess participant competencies, work history, educational attainment, skills, abilities, and employment readiness to identify barriers and develop solutions.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support job search activities, training participation, job retention, and career advancement.
- Create individualized employment plans with short-term and long-term career goals and connect participants to available services and resources.
- Assist participants with resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and labor market research.
- Facilitate customer access to workforce programs, education, training opportunities, and employment services while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, community organizations, and workforce stakeholders.
- Conduct employer outreach to identify hiring needs, generate job leads, and promote workforce services.
- Connect employers with qualified candidates and support recruitment, interviewing, and hiring activities to fill open positions.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate hiring events, job fairs, recruitment drives, on-site interviews, and employer information sessions.
- Attend and represent the organization at partner, networking, and community events to expand employer engagement opportunities.
- Host employer and partner events to promote workforce solutions and strengthen business relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align participant goals with employer workforce needs and job placement opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing communication with participants and employers to monitor employment outcomes, retention, and satisfaction.
- Document participant progress, employer engagement activities, and service outcomes in required systems and databases.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of local labor market trends and emerging workforce needs.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or 2 years work experience in business to business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience
- Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
- Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Sales or staffing experience preferred
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to work well in teams and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Driver's License in good standing and proof of current automobile insurance required
