# IMMEDIATE OPENING: School Counselor

Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis (HHAI) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being of our K–8 students.

As a valued member of our close-knit school community, you'll partner with teachers, families, and administrators to help every child grow academically, emotionally, and personally in a nurturing environment grounded in Jewish values.

Responsibilities

•

Provide individual and small-group counseling for students.

  • Support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success.
  • Implement age-appropriate social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives.
  • Partner with families, teachers, and administrators to develop student support plans.
  • Respond to student crises and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals.
  • Participate in Student Support Team (SST), MTSS/RTI, and school intervention planning.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school culture rooted in kindness, respect, and responsibility.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events while supporting the mission of HHAI.

Qualifications

•

Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Indiana licensure (or eligibility) required.
  • Experience working with children in a school or counseling setting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Experience in independent or faith-based schools and familiarity with Jewish culture are a plus.
