Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Manage and maintain a caseload from intake through resolution
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy
- Review and analyze contracts, evidence, and case-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines, filing requirements, and legal procedures
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
- 1–3 years of litigation or relevant legal experience preferred
- Strong legal research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- This is an in-office position
