# Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
The Marathon Los Angeles Refinery located in Wilmington/Carson, California is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to supervise our electrical maintenance craft, union represented employees. The role will execute preventive and corrective maintenance work safely and effectively in an environmentally compliant manner following all policies and procedures. The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will facilitate the optimal utilization of plant maintenance resources to support the operation of the facility and ensure the availability of the electrical systems and infrastructure.
The hours of the onsite position are Monday- Thursday - 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, on-call duty three weeks out of the year and TAR support once a year.
## Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical maintenance craft, union represented employees. Executes preventive and corrective maintenance work safely and effectively in an environmentally compliant manner following all policies and procedures. Facilitates the optimal utilization of plant maintenance resources to support the operation of the facility and ensure the availability of the electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure team understands work scope and performance expectations. Promote proactive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) focus. Assist with troubleshooting. Ensure work orders are satisfactorily completed and properly closed out. Communicate daily activities related to manpower, accomplishments and problem areas to management. Ensure assigned craft personnel are adequately trained for their job assignment. Identify training needs and participate in development of training programs for craft skill pool.
- Maintain visible and active field presence to promote safe working environment and ensure adherence to safe work practices, Participate in audits and near-miss/incident investigations. Follow-up on safety issues until closure. Active member of the safety committee.
- Coordinate with planning and scheduling to ensure appropriateness of job packages. Ensure materials used comply with current engineering standards. Identifies and resolves delays that would prevent schedule attainment.
- Participate in maintenance cost control including challenging need for discretionary work. Participating member of Maintenance leadership team. Work collaboratively with other supervisors, planning & scheduling and reliability teams to develop repair strategies and maintain reliability of refinery plant mechanical equipment in support of continuous operations.
- Maintain current, accurate and complete records for assigned area(s).
- Supervise and lead work group. Accountable for fair and uniform application of policies and procedures.
- Responsible for meeting all that is applicable to the role of our routine maintenance supervisors in RSP-1400.
- Provide daily updates to Maintenance leadership and Operations.
## Education, Experience and Skills
## Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date.)
- Must have at least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience as a craftsperson, engineer or supervisor in a refinery, petro-chemical or other related heavy industry.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and must be able to take hair drug test and physical.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
- Travel Requirement is 5% or less.
- Must be able to work onsite Monday- Thursday - 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, on-call duty three weeks out of the year and TAR support once a year.
- Must understand this job is in production-centered support of a 24/7 operation and may require additional time and resources during off hours.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
- Previous SAP experience is preferred.

Reasonable Pay Range which includes Geographic Difference for living in California: 150,000 - 185,000
