Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands
• Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
• Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered care
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in a human services role preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check per Minnesota DHS requirements
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine commitment to person-centered, compassionate care
