Responsibilities
- Safely transport and haul heavy equipment to and from job sites and designated locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Secure and properly chain down loads to ensure safe transport
- Operate flatbed, hydro-tail, or step-deck trailers as required for equipment hauling
- Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site personnel
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standards
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required
- Previous experience hauling heavy equipment, flatbed, or lowboy mandatory 2-5yrs
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
- Ability to properly secure loads using chains, binders, and straps
- Strong communication skills and a professional, reliable demeanor
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
