Senior Tax Accountant

A senior tax accountant should be able to work independently, complete work accurately and in a timely manner, and establish workload priorities. In addition, a senior tax accountant should contribute to a team environment, assisting those around them.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparation of complex business and individual returns
• Review responsibility of simple business and individual returns
• Experience with multi-state tax filings
• Experience with complex tax issues related to acquisitions and purchase price allocations
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax and bookkeeping matters
• Work independently to manage your workload and client relationships
• Contribute to the growth of the practice by taking on additional responsibilities as needed
• Adhere to strict deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in all work products
• Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices through CPE and research
• Deliver guidance on tax planning and financial strategies with businesses and individuals
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members as the team grows

Requirements Include:

• 2+ years of tax experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar
• CPA license or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA license, including required coursework
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, demonstrated experience or ability to act as in-charge of tax relationships
• Demonstrates ability to solve problems and complete projects
