Full job description
- Coordinate and perform refurbishments and repairs in apartment and common area.
- Assist in the supervision of landscaping maintenance.
- Coordinate the removal of garbage and trash for the property.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, safety standards, OSHA, EPA fire and health safety codes and understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Maintenance Department budget.
- Maintain inventory controls.
- Ensure that department staff adhere to all company uniform and grooming standards.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with contractors and vendors as well as with residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Assist Director of Maintenance in obtaining capital expense bids and dealing with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain office, shops, and mechanical areas to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Level of Formal Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience
Years of Experience: 2+ years
Type of Experience: Progressively responsible experience relating to building experience
Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer proficiency
