Full job description

  • Coordinate implementation of special youth initiatives and strategic programming.
  • Supervise facilitators, employer engagement staff, Student Hireability Navigators, SEAL coordinator, and related project staff.
  • Monitor program/project timelines, deliverables, participation outcomes, and program effectiveness.
  • Conduct coaching, performance monitoring, and staff development activities
  • Compile data for reporting progress of programs for Program Leadership
  • Collaborate with employer partners, educational institutions, and community organizations to expand participant opportunities.
  • Support work experience, hiring events, apprenticeship initiatives, and career exposure activities.
  • Partners with leadership team to develop corrective action plans
  • Participate in staff meetings, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Implements and monitors Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead special initiatives, pilot programs, and workforce innovation projects aligned with organizational and board priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in workforce development or recruitment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Should have a considerable skill in interviewing techniques and good knowledge of all functions of industry clusters.
  • Familiarity with communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Demonstrated performance in placing program participants into employment.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with area employers.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance that meets the State of TX requirements
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of computers and knowledge of data management processes
  • Demonstrate good communication, telephone and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and do presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with various Federal/State programs including TANF, SNAP, TAA, AEL and Employment Services (WIT)
  • Knows the Dallas Area or can get to destinations using maps/GPS
