Eurofins Environment Testing, Air Toxics is seeking a Support Services Technician to join our team!
Support Services Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and preparing of sample media
- Packaging and shipment of media to clients
- Building and repairing flow controllers
- Assembling and dismantling shipping boxes
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the job
- Ability to adhere to safety protocol
- Demonstrate good Organizational skills,versatility, flexibility, and efficiency
- Effective use of time in managing multiple priorities
- Interpret and understand oral or written instructions
- Perform other support duties as assigned
- Teamwork, working closely with all the departments
- Additional duties as needed
Hazardous Material Handling
The Eurofins Air Toxics laboratory houses chemicals necessary for the analysis of various environmental samples. These chemicals can be harmful if not properly handled. The list includes but is not limited to; cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses including helium, nitrogen and hydrogen, sharps and liquid solvents such as methylene chloride, acetonitrile and acetone. This position requires the ability to safely handle and transport these bulk chemicals. The employee will be required to read and reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program for additional information and instruction.
- Experienced in shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing
- Experience with processing orders using internal LIMS
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in use of shipping provider websites
- Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Consciousness of and a positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work and organized thought process
- Good teamwork, ability to work closely with all the departments
- Knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Skills and Abilities:
- Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures;
- Communicate well with coworkers and management;
- Read, understand and comply with SOPs;
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a continuous basis, stand for prolonged periods;
- Work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties;
- The ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds;
- Hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone.
Compensation range: $19-$20 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm shift with possible overtime and weekends when needed.
