# Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and home healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor patient conditions, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Measure, record, and report patient vital signs accurately.
- Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and proper body positioning.
- Notify the supervising nurse of patient pain, changes in condition, or abnormal findings.
- Provide oral hygiene, skin care, nail care, and foot care.
- Maintain patient safety by following infection control and facility protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and report to assigned facilities on time for scheduled shifts.
- Follow employer and client policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Wear proper identification and maintain professional conduct.
- Perform additional patient care duties as assigned by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment (where required).
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Basic knowledge of patient care, infection prevention, and safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (2–5 hours at a time).
- Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and other healthcare-related hazards.
