Full job description

Garner Appliance & Mattress seeking a friendly, dependable receptionist to join our local, family-owned appliance and mattress store at our Garner location.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to assist with a variety of customer service and administrative tasks.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Greet customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers as needed
  • Prepare and process invoices
  • Log and organize files within the company system
  • Assist with light accounting-related tasks; prior accounting experience is not required
  • Keep workstations organized and stocked
  • Provide general administrative and customer service support
  • Work at the North Raleigh location when coverage is needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Friendly, professional, and dependable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn invoicing, filing, and internal systems
  • Flexible and willing to provide coverage at both showroom locations when needed

JOB TYPE

This is a Monday through Friday position with every other Saturday required. Employees scheduled to work on Saturday will have Wednesday off that week.

Starting pay is $18 per hour.
