Cook – Amerisports

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team at Amerisports. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and snacks in a fast-paced sports venue environment. You will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate with management regarding stock levels and ordering needs
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely food preparation during peak service periods
  • Inspect food quality and ensure all dishes meet company standards before service
  • Follow all health codes, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements to existing recipes and food offerings
  • Support other kitchen staff members as needed to maintain smooth operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience in a food service environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation standards
  • Proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment and tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a sports venue, catering, or institutional food service setting
  • Knowledge of inventory management and food ordering systems
  • Culinary training or certification from an accredited program
  • Experience with menu planning and recipe development
  • Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish)
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and special events
