A Day in the Life
Join the Electrophysiology Team (EPT) finance team supporting the Cardiac Diagnostics & Services (CDS) business.
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the CDS Research & Development and Clinical organizations by collaborating closely with key business leaders: VP of Research & Development, R&D Core Team Leaders, and the Sr Director of Clinical. In this role, you will work collaboratively to ensure sound financial projections and accounting of pipeline innovation and strategic initiatives and serve as a voice for the finance organization. The primary responsibilities of this position are to prepare and analyze financial models, project accounting, budget management (expense and capital), participation in cross-functional teams, and engagement in forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Plan.
A Day in the Life
- Partner with the Core Team Leaders on all aspects of financial management & overall R&D portfolio management, including core team support & business case development/financial modeling, project prioritization, resource allocation, expense management, and capital planning.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the Clinical team, supporting cost center and project management, ad hoc financial analysis, and business case development.
- Coordinate CDS R&D functional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including preparing and presenting monthly/quarterly month-end close meetings.
- Prepare analysis and presentations, including presenting in Core Team meetings, Product Review Committee (PRC), and leadership meetings such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Financial and analytical support of strategic planning to ensure pipeline objectives are reasonable and align with market expectations.
- Develop and maintain various financial models and report on the impact of project timeline shifts.
- Drive efficiency/improvement of related finance processes in support of the organization.
- Perform additional financial analysis for special projects upon request.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years in Finance or Accounting.
