Industrial Tire Technician

Position Summary

Daniels Tire Service is seeking an experienced Industrial Tire Technician with strong tire press machine experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, mechanically inclined, and experienced in servicing industrial, solid resilient, pneumatic, and press-on tires used on forklifts and other material handling equipment.

This position requires an individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and represents Daniels Tire Service with professionalism at customer locations and in our service facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely remove, install, and repair industrial tires on forklifts, aerial lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, and other industrial equipment.
  • Operate hydraulic tire press machines for the removal and installation of press-on tires.
  • Perform tire pressing procedures while following manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.
  • Inspect wheels, rims, hubs, and related components for damage or excessive wear.
  • Mount and dismount pneumatic industrial tires.
  • Perform foam-filled tire replacements when required.
  • Diagnose tire failures and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Complete mobile and shop service work as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, service reports, and inventory documentation.
  • Operate service trucks and equipment safely.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment, tire presses, and service vehicles.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Assist other technicians as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial tire service experience preferred.
  • Strong experience operating hydraulic tire press machines.
  • Experience servicing:
  • Press-on solid tires
  • Cushion tires
  • Pneumatic forklift tires
  • Solid resilient tires
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and shop equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check (if applicable).
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mobile industrial tire service experience.
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification.
  • OSHA safety training.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial fleet maintenance.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly with assistance when necessary.
  • Push, pull, and maneuver heavy industrial tires and wheels.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work around heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to safely operate hydraulic presses and power tools.
