What does Life Choice offer? The Home Health Aide Training: Our HHA training course is designed to enhance student’s skills in the practice of patient care and prepare them for work as an HHA. You will be given the following certificates upon successfully completing the course.

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) State Certification
  • In-Service Education Certifications (6)
  • CPR Training offered at additional cost.

Upon completion of this HHA course students will demonstrate skills included in basic nursing such as; use of proper body mechanics, patient transfer an repositioning, performing range of motion exercise, monitoring vital signs, assisting the patient with self-medication, recording the weight and urinary output of the patient, and demonstrating how to care for the needs of patients that are bed bound or have limitations. Students will demonstrate the importance and the appropriate procedures and actions in feeding, oral care, communication, promoting patient comfort including personal hygiene and documentation. CNA- Test Prep: The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Test Prep Course at Life Choice Institute is designed to prepare students for the written examination (WE) and a clinical skills test (CST) to become certified as a nursing assistant. Students will learn the laws and ethical standards that govern the health care workers, enhance verbal and written communication skills and discuss patient’s rights. Students will also cover main protocols for patient care including education in Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) and medical errors, domestic violence in the health care field and the health care profession chain of command and the importance of documentation. Additionally, students will learn professional ethics and to explain the laws governing harassment, labor and recognizing and reporting abuse, learn terms such as; malpractice, negligence and

assaults and battery. Prepare the students on techniques for effective job interview process, how to make a professional resume and employability skills. Packages Offered: Work Ready Course:
