Overview

Perform tasks to maintain safety standards, increase equipment reliability, preform electrical construction actives at the journey man level and satisfy production needs by ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment safely and properly.

Responsibilities

  • Journey man electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of construction codes, proficient at running conduit, build and wiring panels, read electrical drawings.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Trouble shoot and repair equipment, machinery, electric controls, panel construction, wiring.
  • Safely modify & install energy control devices
  • Monitor equipment and operations to meet quality and safety standards
  • Comply with LOTO, Confined Space, Respirator & other applicable training and procedures
  • Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions & engineering specs
  • Locates sources of problems by observing equipment in operation; listening for problems; talking to operator or supervisors, manufacturer’s manual and using precision measuring and testing equipment
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and controls.
  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Safety Management Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintenance, PLC, electrical, welding / fabrication experience a plus
  • Must have 3 years Commercial and or industrial electrical construction experience
  • Excellent communications and people skills
  • Legible handwriting, basic computer skills required. Experience with MS Excel a plus
  • To utilize email and computer-based maintenance software
  • Read & understand instructions, drawings and electrical, pneumatics & hydraulic schematics
  • Complete paperwork accurately and timely
  • Self-directed
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations
  • Must provide tools as required to complete job duties
  • Willingness to work overtime and schedule changes on short notice

Physical Requirements

This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics.

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to frequently lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; however, it may involve walking and standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
