POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Manager position is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continually improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with the applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements for pressure testing (burst and hydrostatic) and when developing client Quality Programs. The Quality Manager is accountable for the quality performance and for maintaining our CSA, ASME, and ISO accreditations.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Internal Quality Management System
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the company’s QMS
  • Ensure QMS records are current and effectively implemented
  • Work with team to ensure personnel are trained, qualified, and competent to perform their assigned tasks
  • Ensure effective document control as required by the QMS
  • Ensure calibrations for equipment are up to date
  • Compliance & Accreditation
  • Maintain CSA, ASME, and ISO accreditations including preparation and coordination for external audits
  • Act as the primary contact for certification bodies and regulatory authorities
  • Ensure ongoing compliance
  • External Quality Management System
  • Develop client Quality Manager Systems. Ensure these manuals and programs meet the applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding the QMS
  • Support and assist with preparations for client for audits and respond to quality-related inquiries
  • Supervise specimen preparation
  • Ensure testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Pressure Testing
  • Coordinate and conduct pressure testing (Burst or Hydrostatic) in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and client requirements
  • Write reports for testing
  • Nonconformance & Corrective Action
  • Manage nonconformances and corrective/preventative action plans
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise and train personnel regarding Quality Program development and pressure testing
  • Support staff and Managers
  • Responding to clients and writing proposals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Engineering Technology Diploma (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience (Required)
  • Supervisory experience is an asset (Preferred)

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Good organizational/time management skills.
  • Familiarity with with Jurisdictional / ISO requirements
  • Familiarity with with spool and pipe hydrotesting

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $32.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
