We’re hiring a Parts Assistant at our rental facility in Carlsbad, NM, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. A Parts Assistant will manage the parts inventory, handle orders, and coordinates with vendors to ensure the availability of necessary components for rental equipment. This role involves maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, and supporting both internal service departments and external customers
### Primary Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise parts inventory, purchasing and invoicing
• Interact with customers to answer questions about parts availability or to fulfill parts orders.
• Ability to obtain and prepare parts quotes
• Order and manage parts inventory for rental equipment
• Coordinating parts inventory from manufacturers and communicating with vendors for company and customer owned equipment
• Confirm invoice accuracy
• Coordinating with the Service departments and delivery schedules
• The assistant may be responsible for obtaining and preparing parts quotes for customers or internal teams

### Skills & Qualifications
### Required Skills/Abilities:
• Previous experience in the construction or heavy equipment industry a plus
• Previous or current experience with budgeting
• Knowledge of excel and the use of spreadsheets
• Must posses a clean driving record as the position will consist of picking up and delivering local parts
• Must possess exceptional customer service, organization, time management and communication skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen, as this is a safety sensitive position
### Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent
- Active applicable state class driver's license
- Experience in equipment rental company preferred
### Physical Requirements:
Lifting and Carrying
- Constantly lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- Regularly lift and/or move heavy objects, equipment parts, and tools, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more, depending on the equipment being serviced.
- Occasionally move objects up to 50 pounds or more.
Standing, Walking, and Sitting
- Spend extended periods of standing and walking on varying, possibly uneven surfaces within the shop environment while performing tasks such as inspections, repairs, and maintenance and/or maneuvering throughout the yard.
- Remain stationary in one position for long periods of time, which can include standing or sitting.
Bending and Stooping
- Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, which will require bending and stooping.
Demonstrating Manual Dexterity
- Use hands, fingers, and arms to manipulate tools, equipment, and small parts with precision and control; specifically, using hands and wrists constantly to finger, handle, feel, or make repeating motions and reach with hands and arms.
- Use hands, fingers, and arms to repair and rebuild all types of construction equipment, hydraulic systems, generators, air compressors, scissor lifts, etc. and use machinery and power tools.
Repetitive Motions
- Perform repetitive motions such as gripping, twisting, and turning when operating tools or performing assembly/disassembly tasks.
