# Job Description

Position Summary:

The Sustainable Systems Engineering program, Systems Engineering, is seeking hourly workers to support a two-day collaborative workshop focused on energy transition challenges, sustainable infrastructure systems, and data center growth pressures in Colorado.

Hourly workers will assist with workshop preparation, event logistics, participant coordination, research support, documentation, and post workshop materials.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist with workshop planning, scheduling, logistics, and preparation of participant materials. Support communications with participants, speakers, facilitators, judges, and partner organizations.
  • Help organize background materials related to energy transition, data center growth, grid reliability, distributed energy resources, water-energy systems, transportation electrification, and community resilience.
  • Provide on-site event support, including registration, room setup, materials distribution, timekeeping, note-taking, and general participant support.
  • Assist with collecting team submissions, organizing judging materials, documenting outcomes, and preparing post-event summaries.
  • Support event promotion, follow-up communications, and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to support the two-day workshop in person.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in sustainability, energy systems, infrastructure, engineering, planning, policy, environmental issues, or systems thinking.
  • Experience supporting events, workshops, conferences, research projects, or team-based activities.
  • Experience preparing documents, summaries, presentations, spreadsheets, or communications materials.
