About the Role
Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team in Sacramento, CA! Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori-based curriculum for toddlers
- Create and maintain a prepared, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Observe and document each child's developmental progress and milestones
- Foster independence, social-emotional growth, and practical life skills in young learners
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding child development
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning community
- Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom consistent with Montessori principles
Requirements
- Experience working with toddlers or young children in an early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of or training in Montessori philosophy and methodology preferred
- Minimum 12 ECE units required in accordance with California childcare licensing regulations
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements
