Full job description
The Vice President, Human Resources Operations serves as the operational backbone of the HR function. You will own day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, lead the ongoing build-out of Workday, keep the company compliant across every state we operate in, and carry the integration of three legacy organizations to the finish line.
What You Will Own
HR Operations and Service Delivery
- Own day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding.
- Oversee the cyclical people processes, including performance cycles, compensation planning support, and compliance calendars.
- Set and hold service standards so managers and employees get fast, accurate, and human support.
Workday, Analytics, and Reporting
- Lead the ongoing build-out and optimization of Workday HCM, directing the Workday team who handles the configuration.
- Own people data and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis.
- Protect data integrity across a platform built from three legacy systems.
Compliance, Policy, and Risk
- Own multi-state employment compliance across every jurisdiction where Opensity employs people and keep us audit-ready at all times.
- Track changing employment law and flag exposure before it becomes a problem.
Team Leadership
- Lead and scale a lean HR operations team, hiring and building new capabilities.
- Develop the team into trusted operators who raise the bar on service and execution.
- Model the culture we are working to build across three legacy identities.
What You Bring:
- 10 or more years of progressive HR experience, including 5 or more years leading teams.
- A career built in managed services, business process outsourcing (BPO), or shared services environments.
- Hands-on experience consolidating HR across multiple entities or systems following a merger or acquisition.
- Deep multi-state employment compliance experience across many jurisdictions, including international locations.
- Comfortable using AI tools, with a real appetite to apply them to HR work. You do not need to be an expert, but you should already be using or exploring AI to work smarter.
- Hands-on Workday HCM experience.
- Experience supporting or managing offshore and global delivery teams.
The Compensation range for this role is 150,000 to 210,000 per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be highly dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
