Full job description

  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to workplace safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Process, review, approve, code, and upload freight invoices through a third-party freight management system and the SAP ERP system.
  • Generate and maintain SAP reports for project and material tracking by extracting data, analyzing transactions, and developing Excel spreadsheets to monitor material movement throughout the facility.
  • Obtain shipping documentation and accurately complete all required ERP transactions.
  • Support the Production Planning department by assisting with planning-related activities based on production workload and business priorities.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count activities while ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Receive inbound shipments, unload trucks safely, and complete goods receipt transactions in SAP.
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities by preparing shipping schedules, prioritizing orders, and assigning daily warehouse tasks.
  • Complete order closeout transactions within SAP to ensure accurate production and shipment records.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation, including export paperwork and hazardous material documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency, organization, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments and with other company locations to support operational goals and resolve material flow issues.
  • Communicate professionally with external vendors, carriers, customer service representatives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate, process, and resolve shipping, freight, and inventory claims in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities for warehouse and material handling equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time deliveries.
  • Assist the Facility Manager with maintaining the facility, including coordinating maintenance activities, supporting workplace organization, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Contribute to overall division performance by supporting operational objectives, continuous improvement efforts, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and exceeding expectations.

## Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize large data sets.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics processes.
  • Experience preparing export and hazardous material shipping documentation preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles is preferred.
