About the Role
Therapy World LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Rock Hill, SC! Responsibilities
- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for pediatric patients under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living skills
- Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment notes and goals accordingly
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, families, caregivers, and school personnel to support each child's development
- Utilize play-based and evidence-based therapy techniques to engage pediatric clients
- Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to reinforce therapy goals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment
Requirements
- Active COTA certification through NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Valid South Carolina state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical, school, or outpatient setting preferred
- Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and pediatric rehabilitation techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children of all abilities
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
