Overview:
The Multifamily Carpenter reports to the Property Manager for assignments related to mostly wood repairs of varying sizes and degrees of difficulty at our three apartment properties in Greenville, totaling 271 units. This position is responsible for interior and exterior repairs, such as wood rot, decks, balconies, fences, etc.to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Managerial staff and Maintenance Supervisors to develop action plans for repair needs.
Procure materials and prep work areas for repairs.
Competently make repairs as needed to remedy various issues such as balcony and staircase repairs or replacement, cabinetry, etc.
- Ensure that each community and grounds are in good repair and provide a safe and attractive environment for residents.
- Inspect each community and grounds regularly, identify and address any areas in need of repair.
- Maintain relationships with associates and vendors on a professional business level. Collaborate with vendors to ensure lowest pricing.
- Maintain availability to residents, management, and staff on regular predictable basis.
- Assist Regional Manager with capital improvements by providing suggestions and feedback, seeking qualified vendors, requesting bids, and supervising all vendors while working on Bolt Properties.
- Must follow all safety/OSHA Requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•High Proficiency in Carpentry
- Must demonstrate ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Must demonstrate ability to successfully work on a team and independently.
- Must be able to clearly communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to travel regularly and perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to ability to walk property, climb stairs, complete physical inspections of the property/apartments and drive a vehicle.

Qualifications
- Previous Construction and/or Carpentry experience is a must.
Larger job experience such as deck, balcony, and staircase repairs and rebuilding is preferred. Must have reliable transportation and at least basic tools such as common hand tools.
