Job Title: PLM Technical Consultant Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2 Salary Range: $130,000–$180,000 Annually Experience Required: 10+ Years

## Job Summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced PLM Technical Consultant with 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms, with deep expertise in PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of PLM platform architecture, administration, upgrades, integrations, cloud deployment, performance optimization, and enterprise system support. This role requires hands-on technical leadership in designing, maintaining, and modernizing mission-critical PLM environments while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise IT teams.

## Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, administer, and optimize enterprise PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Teamcenter environments.
  • Lead PLM platform upgrades, migrations, patch management, environment refreshes, and modernization initiatives while minimizing business disruption.
  • Manage application servers, web servers, databases, file vaults, indexing services, and CAD integrations to ensure high availability and optimal system performance.
  • Design and implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and business continuity strategies for enterprise PLM platforms.
  • Develop automation solutions using Shell, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Support and optimize integrations between PLM platforms and enterprise applications including ERP, MES, CAD, ALM, and Manufacturing systems.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term performance improvements.
  • Administer security, authentication, authorization, user provisioning, and access control in accordance with enterprise governance policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable PLM solutions.
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, upgrade guides, and disaster recovery runbooks.
  • Lead technical reviews, establish PLM administration standards, and mentor junior administrators and technical consultants.

## Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience administering and supporting enterprise PLM platforms, including significant experience with PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Extensive experience performing PLM upgrades, migrations, patching, system administration, and platform optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of application servers, web servers, file vault management, indexing services, and enterprise PLM architecture.
  • Experience integrating PLM platforms with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), CAD tools, and enterprise business applications.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases, along with Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Hands-on experience implementing High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup strategies, and performance tuning.
  • Experience developing automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar scripting technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying and supporting PLM platforms on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter professional certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale CAD integrations including Creo, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with ThingWorx, Industrial IoT (IIoT), Digital Thread, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
