This position reports to:

Senior Business Controller

As a Business Financial Analyst, reporting to the Athens, TN Controller, you will be a part of the ELIP Finance/Accounting team mainly supporting the Athens, TN site. You will be responsible to perform support activities within General Accounting, Financial Analysis, Accounts Payable, and Reporting & Consolidation in line with defined strategies, policies and procedures.

This role will work an onsite schedule in our Athens, TN Manufacturing Facility (#LI-onsite).

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with Controller and the Finance/Accounting team to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvement.
  • Month-end activities to include (but not limited to): account analyses, account reconciliations, journal entry creation, account reviews, inventory analyses, balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Helping to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting documents and presentations.
  • Financial compliance reporting to include monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews. Capital Expenditures and Fixed asset monitoring, analyses, review, and reporting.
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration with 3+ years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including Oracle, SAP (preferred), ERP or related financial systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products is required
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in Accounts Payable is preferred
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
