HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Mechanical Systems Support
- Assist with installation, inspection, and basic maintenance of mechanical systems including fixtures, mounts, test rigs, track hardware, and support equipment
- Support mechanical assembly and disassembly of components related to vehicle and tire testing activities
- Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues such as fastener failures, alignment concerns, wear, and vibration
- Use hand tools and basic power tools to perform mechanical tasks safely and accurately
Testing & Engineering Support
- Assist engineers during setup and teardown of mechanical test equipment and test vehicles
- Support alignment, torque checks, fluid checks, and basic adjustments required for testing activities
- Assist with routine inspections of test tracks, mechanical fixtures, and support equipment to identify defects or wear
- Support data collection activities by ensuring mechanical systems are properly installed and functioning
Preventive Maintenance & Safety
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment as assigned
- Follow all site safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and job safety analyses (JSA)
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or abnormal operation to supervisors
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, torque principles, and mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices (calipers, torque wrenches, tape measures)
- Ability to follow mechanical drawings, work instructions, and engineering guidance
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, or equivalent)
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

- Associate degree or technical certificate in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred
- Hands-on mechanical experience (internship, vocational training, or entry-level industrial experience acceptable)
