We are open M-F 8AM - 2PM and Saturday 9AM - 2PM (Yes, we all get nights and Sundays off!)...so there is such a thing as a fun, fulfilling restaurant job and still being able to have a life outside of work. Hearthstone BakeryCafe in San Antonio, TX is looking for a enthusiastic and dependable Cashier / Barista to join our team team! If you love interacting with people and serving made-to-order food in a warm and welcoming café environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional front-of-house customer service
- Accurately process cash, card, and digital transactions at the POS register
- Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, teas, and specialty drinks
- Assist with food service, including pastries, baked goods, and cafe menu items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cafe environment
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and communicate low stock to management
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times
Requirements
- Previous cashier, barista, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee drinks is a plus, training is provided
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
