ELS is hiring for the position of Activities Assistant in Okeechobee, Florida.

### What You'll Do

As an Activities Assistant, you will play a key role in creating fun, engaging, and memorable experiences for resort guests. You will assist in the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of a wide variety of recreational activities, special events, and entertainment programs designed to enhance the guest experience. Through exceptional customer service, enthusiasm, and attention to detail, you will help foster a welcoming atmosphere where guests of all ages can relax, connect, and create lasting memories.

### Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of resort activities and events from concept through successful completion.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, promote, and facilitate daily, weekly, and seasonal activities for guests.
  • Lead engaging recreational programs, games, crafts, tournaments, and social events for a variety of age groups and interests.
  • Set up and break down activity areas, ensuring events are safe, organized, and well-presented.
  • Prepare and maintain activity materials, equipment, and supplies needed for scheduled events.
  • Develop supply and inventory lists for upcoming activities while adhering to established budgets.
  • Assist in creating promotional materials and communicating activity schedules to guests.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, encouraging participation, and addressing guest concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Monitor guest engagement and gather feedback to help improve future programs and events.
  • Collaborate effectively with resort management and other team members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation, supplies, and activity-related expenses as needed.
  • Ensure all activities comply with resort policies and safety standards.

### Experience & Skills You'll Need

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years of customer service experience with a proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Previous experience planning, coordinating, or leading activities, events, recreation programs, camps, or hospitality-based entertainment is preferred.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality with the ability to engage and interact with diverse groups of guests.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and scheduling skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and set up activity equipment for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
