About the Role
Grocery Outlet Mt. Airy is looking for a motivated and experienced Evening Manager to lead our team during closing operations in Philadelphia, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of store performance, inspire a hardworking crew, and keep our shelves stocked and customers happy. Responsibilities
- Oversee all evening store operations, including closing procedures and end-of-day reporting
- Supervise, coach, and motivate evening shift associates to ensure productivity and excellent customer service
- Monitor and maintain proper stocking, rotation, and presentation of merchandise
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and store security standards
- Manage cash handling, register closeouts, and daily sales reconciliation
- Coordinate with department leads to ensure smooth shift transitions and adequate staffing coverage
Requirements
- 2+ years of retail or grocery management experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead, delegate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, solution-oriented attitude
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and end-of-day closing procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and grocery merchandising best practices
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
