Responsibilities
- Provide direct, private duty nursing care to patients in home or facility settings
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and their families to ensure clear understanding of care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient health status, vital signs, and progress
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and care team members to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and disease prevention in both English and Spanish
- Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Illinois
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
- Prior private duty, home health, or in-home nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
