The Department of Economics at Metropolitan State University of Denver provides students with a valuable economic education through diverse courses and opportunities. Our teaching-focused faculty are committed to meeting students' interests and career goals through classroom instruction, reading and discussion colloquia, events, and internships. While prioritizing teaching, our faculty also actively engage in research, publishing on a wide range of policy-relevant topics including immigration, national defense, foreign policy, marijuana legalization, environmental economics, and institutional mechanisms to improve women's welfare. Position Summary
The Department of Economics at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.
Responsibilities
- Teach 3 - 9 credit hours
- Be available for consultation with students
- Will work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
Required Qualifications
- M.A. or M.S. in Economics, Applied Economics, Agri-Econ Economics, or a related field within the last 6 years

Preferred Qualifications
ABD or Ph.D. within the last 6 years with record of at least one publication in a journal listed in ABDC or Cabell's (less than 50%), or a refereed book chapter and at least one conference presentation
