Title: Cultivation Associate Pay Rate: $16.00/hr Location: Tooele, UT Job Type: Full Time | Non-Exempt

Multiple Departments Available: Flower: Monday-Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm Harvest: Monday-Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm

Understanding the Departments: Flower: This is the main grow stage, where plants mature and produce buds. You’ll focus on plant health, pruning, and maximizing quality and yield. Harvest: This is the final stage of the process. You’ll cut, trim, and prepare plants for drying and packaging, ensuring everything meets quality standards.

Whether supporting early plant development in the Nursery, maintaining plant health in Flower, or assisting with Harvest and post-cut processes, you bring curiosity, reliability, and a team-first mindset. You’re comfortable with hands-on work and eager to learn the specific processes that drive quality at each stage of cultivation.

What You’ll Do

As a Cultivation Associate at Curaleaf, you’ll support one or more stages of the cultivation process based on business needs and team placement. Your responsibilities will vary slightly depending on your assigned department:

Flower (Main Grow Stage):

  • Perform plant maintenance such as pruning, defoliation, staking, and feeding
  • Monitor environmental conditions and adjust as needed to optimize growth
  • Inspect plants for health, pests, and disease
  • Support overall plant development to maximize yield and quality

Harvest (Final Stage):

  • Cut down plants and assist with trimming and processing
  • Hang and rack plants for drying while monitoring environmental conditions
  • Weigh, label, and record inventory in compliance with state regulations
  • Prepare product for curing and packaging while maintaining quality standards

Across All Departments:

  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workspaces
  • Follow all compliance, safety, and security procedures
  • Support team needs during high-demand periods

What You’ll Bring:

  • An interest in working with plants and hands-on environments (gardening or similar experience is a plus)
  • A team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to support different departments as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliability and the ability to follow processes and meet production goals
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and/or physically active work depending on department
  • Basic math and measurement skills, including the ability to use a scale
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Even Better If:

  • Experience in cultivation, agriculture, landscaping, or horticulture
  • Familiarity with different cannabis growth stages or strains
  • Exposure to grow environments, irrigation systems, or climate control systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance
  • Frequent and repetitive use of hands and wrists for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access plants or equipment
  • Ability to use required PPE when required, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary

Environmental Conditions

  • Exposure to environments with high humidity, varying temperatures, and strong odors (such as cannabis)
  • Exposure to soil, water, fertilizer, dust, pollen and plant pathogens
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol
  • Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms
  • Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
