Lead Maintenance Technician at Accredo Packaging, Inc. — Sugar Land, TX

We are currently seeking a day shift Lead Maintenance Technician for our Sugar Land, Texas facility. The shift is Monday through Friday with some weekends. Applicants must have an electrical and/or mechanical maintenance background, as well as leadership experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keep crew organized and productive

o Control the efficient operation of all production equipment by leading and organizing the team performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance

• Serve as point of contact for management

o Assure the preventative maintenance program is conducted and report improvements or upgrades to our preventative maintenance schedule o Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs promptly to minimize downtime o Inform the appropriate facility personnel/ supervisor of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect the area of operation

Help crew effectively execute the following tasks: o Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment; report all injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately o Follow all established Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining an orderly and clean work environment o Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to unexpected or emergencies o Read equipment manuals and other sources of information to assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment o Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness o Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
• General electrical and/or mechanical experience
• Experience with multi-layer extrusion equipment, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H)
• Experience with printing presses, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) brand
• Experience with roll slitting machines, specifically Kampf and Deacro brands
• Experience with wicketing machines, specifically LEMO brand
• Experience with pouching machines, specifically Totani brand
• Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift and Articulating Boom Lift
• Experience with Maintenance Connection (CMMS) – a plus
